Ostasiatische Papiermaulbeerbäume (Broussonetia-Arten)

Anhand der drei in Taiwan vorkommenden Papiermaulbeerbaum-Arten (Broussonetia spp., Moraceae) werden Morphologie, Systematik und Ökologie kurz vorgestellt. Unter den vielfältigen Nutzungsmöglichkeiten sind die wichtigsten die Herstellung von Tapas (Prototextilien) und Papier sowie die Verwendung in der chinesischen Medizin. Davon ist die Tradition der Herstellung von Tapas die älteste, die heute außerhalb Ostasiens fortgesetzt wird. In der chinesischen Medizin werden vor allem die Früchte eingesetzt.
