Abstract

A population of a large-leafed Ranunculus auricomus belonging to subsection Cassubici was detected 1965 and has been determined now as R. pseudocassubicus. This population still exists and represents the only population of the species in Germany. The differences among R. pseudocassubicus and R. cassubicifolius in basal leaf sequences and flower characters are depicted. The population is endangered due to succession of riparian forest.
