Ranunculus reichertii and R. mosellanus – two newly described and noteworthy species of the Ranunculus auricomus complex in the westernmost part of Germany

Two new species of the R. auricomus complex in Germany are described and depicted: R. reichertii and R. mosellanus. According to the present knowledge, their distribution area is confined to the country of Rhineland-Palatinate, R. reichertii occurs in the highland of Saar and Nahe river, R. mosellanus mainly in the Moselle valley. Both species are morphologically conspicuous: R. reichertii by size and wide-angled basal sinus, R. mosellanus by deep division and overlapping of the lateral leaf segments.
